This region covers most of western Canada border the Pacific Ocean and the Great Plains, British Columbia and the Yukon Territory make most of the Cordillera, but it also extends into Alberta and the Northwest Territories.


Forestry, fishing and mining are main resources for this region.

Mountains make up a lot of the region but it also consists of plateaus, deep valleys, and coastal islands such as Vancouver Island. The most popular mountains are the Rocky's.
